The second day of tournament Takuji Kashiwabara started with a nice 33-31 win against Imre Leader and so took the lead with Imre and Dmitriy at second place with 6 points. But in round 9 he lost 18-46 against Oskar Eklund. In round 10 Takuji played against Mitsuaki Takigawa, who also played at the EGP Paris in 2015. It was a 10-45 win for Takuji. Imre and Dmitriy both gained two more points so at the start of round 11 we had 3 players with 8 points (Dmitriy, Imre and Takuji), 1 player with 7 points (Oskar Eklund) and 2 players with 6 points (Niklas Wettergren and Henry Aspenryd). The top 3 players all won their game in round 11. Although Takuji had a large win against Luigi Puzzo 19-45, it was not enough to get him to the final. Oskar Eklund who won against Takuji in round 9, also won the playoff for third and fourth place against Takuji Kashiwabara (26-38). Imre Leader and Dmitriy Atamanov qualified for the final and Dmitriy won 2-0. His second EGP victory this year! Interview with Dmitriy (in russian) can be found here.
