Paolo Scognamiglio wins Torneo di Natale 

27th December, the eleventh edition of the Torneo di Natale Campano. 
Ten participants were challenged with 5 rounds, random openings. 
For Paolo Scognamiglio it was his first victory in an open tournament, he won all his games.

Niklas Wettergren wins Uppsala Open

December 10th

In 2010 Niklas was number 2 at the Uppsala Open, which was won by Oscar Eriksson. But this year the Uppsala open trophy is his.  It was a close call though. Martin Fransen (tablejudge at WOC 2011) and Marcus Frönmark (26th place at WOC 2011), also won 5 out of 7, as did Jonas Isakson (but he had a bye at round 6).

Marie-Christine Torri - † December 5th 2011

French Othello player Marie-Christine Torri has passed away. She was a very enthousiast Othello player,  founder of the Grenoble Othello Club. She was table judge at the World Othello Championship in 2002 in Amsterdam and in 2003 in Stockholm.
She was a very sweet person and will be missed by many. Our condolances to her family and friends.

Bo Chao Alex Koh wins Singapore Othello Masters

December 4th

The Singapore Othello Masters Series tournament is held at the end of each year featuring the top 8 ranked players of Singapore based on the World Othello Federation Ranking List updated after the World Othello Championship. 
Alex and Jinfeng who represented Singapore in the World Othello Championship replayed WOC games, and shared their WOC experiences. Check our WOC page to see their final WOC results.
After the Masters tourney there was a nice year end dinner party.
