Message on Eurothfed yahoo-group by Francesco Marconi about Othello World Cup 2014 qualification
Hi all,
as posted on FB, OWC 2014 will probably be different from the 2013 edition, in particular for the qualification system. Probably there will be 10 players from each among Europe, Japan and Asia, and 6 from Singapur. It means that, for the people allowed from Europe, we'll need a qualification system to decide the 10 players. I expect some emails answering this one with a proposal. Then we'll collect the main proposals and vote. Thanks, F. Marconi (WOF Council Member - Europe) |

Marc Tastet wins European Grand Prix Barcelona April 6 - 7
|
Ghent, Belgium, 1 April
Tourney format: 7 rounds The tourney had 22 players, which is the largest rated Belgian tournament since the Ottignies Christmas tournament in 2006, (not taking into account EGP tournaments). So the organisation was very happy with that amount of players! Tom won 6 games out of 7. His only loss was a 23 - 41 game against Albert Kortendijk in round 5.
